JOHN PAUL SCOTT / FOUNDER + CREATIVE DIRECTOR.
Originally taught by 4 times British Hairdresser of the year Akin Konizi, Creative Director JP went on to work for the world’s most successful session stylist Guido Palau at the age of 21. For 9 years he held this coveted position and worked on hundreds of fashion shows worldwide, working for brands such as Christian Dior, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton & more.
JP Founded SALT in 2020 with a vision to create a space that fulfils everything a client would want from a modern hairdressing salon as well as providing a mindful, supportive and encouraging space for the hair stylists working there.
POPPY HUGHES / STYLIST + COLOUR TECHNICIAN.
Poppy is a 25 year old colourist and hair stylist from London. Starting her career at Bleach London at 19 years old, she was trained up as an apprentice getting taught the ins and outs of colouring and styling hair. Poppy is now a full time colourist and has an in depth skill and knowledge on how to colour, style and cut all hair types.
She started assisting just a year later and found a passion for styling. Since then she has assisted Alex Brownsell and Alisha Dobson on numerous occasions, who are both well known in the fashion, commercial and Celebrity world for their Styling and colouring. She has also then gone on to be a head stylist for different projects as well as getting taught how to colour and style wigs.
As her career and passion grows she hopes to grow her skill set and broaden her career by doing hair in the fashion industry.
OLIVER QUINNELL / HEAD COLOUR TECHNICIAN.
SALT Head Colour Technician, Oliver, brings an abundance of knowledge and experience along with his sought-after style of modern, beautiful hair colour.
A certified L’Oreal Colour specialist AND Wella Colour Master, Oliver held the role of Creative Colour Director at 5 star salon group Taylor Taylor London for 10 years, where he and JP worked alongside each other and shared many clients. His talent has been requested on set many times and he has executed his exceptional colour work for the likes of Vogue, Arena Homme and most recently the Global Tresemme Campaign.
Oliver is hugely in demand and we recommend booking in advance to see him at SALT Salon.
PHOEBE NATHAN / SENIOR COLOUR TECHNICIAN.
New York City native Phoebe Nathan started her career a decade ago when she joined The Blackstones Collective in the East Village, where she apprenticed under a team of expert colourists before going behind the chair and quickly building a full clientele of her own.
Phoebe has been featured as one of New York’s best colourists both by NY Mag and The Zoe Report - she specializes in freehand balayage to create lived-in blondes, dimensional brunettes, natural-looking coppers, and “fashion” colours that are wearable for the every day. Her passion is developing bespoke looks for her clients that best fit their lifestyle and maintenance needs.

HENARE DAVIDSON / SENIOR STYLIST.
With a career that spans both London and New Zealand henare has been hairdressing 9 years. With a background in session styling and working backstage on fashion shows and shoots, Henare has an incredible eye for style and shape within his work.
Henare comes from an education background, he worked as an Educator for L’Oréal Professional travelling around New Zealand doing haircutting, colour and styling training for other professionals.
Henare says, “Hairdressing is my biggest passion and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else!”
ELSA FORBES-WHITE / ARTISTIC DIRECTOR.
Originally trained at highly revered Trevor Sorbie Salon and now with over 20 years of experience at the top of the hairdressing industry, Elsa has worked in a range of different areas from being a part of the management team at Taylor Taylor London to assisting on fashion shows in Paris with some of the biggest names in the industry. These experiences have had huge influence on Elsa’s approach to hair, allowing her to grow and thrive within the salon environment.
Elsa has a very technical yet classic style of hairdressing whilst also being creative and visual. For every client that sits in Elsa’s chair, she feels it’s a completely personalised journey.
Elsa has built a hugely loyal clientele and a reputation for being meticulous with her attention to detail second to none. With all this said, Elsa feels there is always so much more to learn which is why she is so passionate about what she does.
ROSS MCLAUGHLAN / ARTISTIC DIRECTOR.
Originally trained by SALT Founder John Paul Scott and then later by Ricky Jones, Ross rapidly worked his way up from Salon Assistant to in-demand Master Stylist.
During this period Ross worked for some of the most successful session hairstylists in the industry, such as Anthony Turner, Eugene Souleiman, Sam McKnight and Syd Hayes. This allowed Ross to work for some of the world’s most coveted brands including Burberry, Emporio Armani, ERDEM and Julien MacDonald.
This experience within the fashion industry allowed Ross to further develop and hone his signature style of effortless, laid back hair.
