SALT is a contemporary hairdressing salon and events space based in Dalston, London.

John Paul Scott founded SALT in 2020 with a vision to create a space that fulfils everything a client would want from a modern hairdressing salon as well as providing a mindful, supportive and encouraging space for the hair stylists working there.

SALT provides the highest level of haircutting and hair colouring services via our stylists from the world of fashion in a considered, friendly and inclusive environment. We offer longer than average appointment times for a more tailored and experiential service. Our wine list is strictly natural and biodynamic and our playlists are carefully tailored to mirror the energy in the space.

All of our appointments are gender neutral, and we proudly cater for all hair types; accessibility and inclusivity are at our core. We are part of the Green Salon Collective, ensuring all our salon waste (including hair) is recycled and reused.

Our Staff Wellness programme, which provides free exercise and pilates classes for our team, is an industry first. Hairdressing is a demanding industry both physically and mentally, so these monthly sessions are tailored towards maintaining and improving the physical and mental health of our team.
